L.M. Scaffolding North West Ltd
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by L.M. Scaffolding North West Ltd (“the Company”, “we”, “us”). By accepting a quotation or instructing works, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms.
2. Quotations & Acceptance
All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
Acceptance of a quotation, whether written or verbal, forms a binding agreement.
Any variations to the agreed scope of works may result in additional charges.
3. Scope of Works
The Company agrees to supply, erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding in accordance with:

Agreed project specifications
-
Current UK industry standards including TG20:21 and SG4 guidance
-
Site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
Any work outside of the agreed scope will be subject to variation.
4. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:

Provide safe and adequate access to the site
-
Ensure ground conditions are suitable for scaffold installation

Obtain all necessary permissions, licences or permits (including pavement or highway licences where required)

Ensure no unauthorised interference, alteration or misuse of the scaffold
The Client is responsible for any damage caused by third parties or site activities.
5. Health & Safety
All works will be carried out in accordance with relevant UK health and safety legislation, including guidance from the Health and Safety Executive.
The Company will:

Provide trained and competent operatives

Supply appropriate PPE
-
Conduct regular inspections (every 7 days or as required by law)

Issue handover certificates and inspection records
The scaffold must not be used until formally handed over.
6. Hire Period
The hire period begins upon completion of scaffold erection and continues until dismantling.
Standard hire durations will be stated in the quotation. Extended hire may incur additional weekly charges.
7. Alterations & Modifications
No alterations or modifications may be made to the scaffold by any party other than L.M. Scaffolding NW Ltd.
Any unauthorised changes will invalidate safety compliance and may result in additional costs.
8. Damage, Loss & Misuse
The Client is responsible for:

Loss or theft of materials
-
Damage caused by site operations, weather (where preventable), or third parties
-
Misuse of the scaffold structure
Costs for repair or replacement will be charged accordingly.
9. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be outlined within the quotation or invoice.
Unless otherwise agreed:

Payment is due within 14 days of invoice

Late payments may incur interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
The Company reserves the right to suspend or remove scaffolding for non-payment.
10. Insurance
The Company holds Public Liability Insurance and Employers’ Liability Insurance.
Details can be provided upon request.
The Client is responsible for insuring their own property, materials and site risks.
11. Delays & Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by factors outside of its control, including:

Weather conditions
-
Site access restrictions
-
Delays by other contractors
-
Acts of God
12. Termination
The Company reserves the right to terminate services if:

Payment terms are breached
-
Unsafe site conditions are identified
-
The scaffold is misused or interfered with
Any costs incurred up to termination will remain payable.
13. Liability
The Company’s liability is limited to the value of the contract.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including delays to project timelines caused by third parties.
14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of United Kingdom.
